Hair mess!!i colored my hair and highlighted it and its a mess. What can I do now?

My natural hair color is black.I first put L'Oreal Preference color all over my hair.I applied the shade Gold Brown (the one which is for dark hair)it looked good.Then on the same day i applied L'Oreal Frost and Design Highlighting(Caramel color) and did highlights.I used the cap,taking too much of my hair out of the cap and the result is disastrous.Most of the hair on the top near the scalp(which was supposed to be highlights) is very blondish orangey color. Its very bold and not suiting me(i m an asian.light skinned from India).Now i called up a couple of salons and they gave me their suggestions.I wanna just tone it down.the color that i want is brown with a golden tinge. Should i do a chocolate brown for this.Because i think it already has tht golden tone to it.this will help toning it down and still look different from black and yet go with my complexion.I also heard its easier to make hair darker.should i put a nice shade of brown?suggest me the shade# %26amp; brand plzz

Make sure you choose an "ash brown". A warm toned brown will not get rid of the orange, and a coole tone brown will turn it orange. So just look for a medium brown that says "ash" on it!

GO TO A SALON request a color 1/2 shade darker than your mess up and use ONLY (5 Volume developer)%26lt;VERY IMPORTANT%26gt;. You can't get that in a store.

i would get a solid color choclote brown and put it all over your head when i dye my hair i use herbal essence and the tint is always right
