I have an appointment tomorrow at my hair salon and I'm planning on getting it trimmed and dying my hair. Right now, it's a brassy brown color with black roots. I'm thinking I want to do dye it lighter without it being brassy. I'm Asian and pretty fair skinned, would it be too outrageous if I dyed my hair a golden blonde color along with my eyebrows?? I was first thinking of platinum blonde but I thought that'd be too pornstar-esque.

Hi! Wow, it sounds like you are going to be beautiul. Copper is a great color for your skin tone. Both colors of shoes would work because mixing metals are in right now. For eyes, on the lid use a dot of copper shimmer right above the iris and moss green shimmer on each side, then blend. In the crease and a bit above use moss green and under eyebrow use a vanilla shimmer. Over the whole area at the end, blush with a bronzer after you use it on your cheeks. Use a metal shimmer lipstick. Estee lauder has great metal colors. Use a eye lash curler, then a lash primer, them at least 2 coats of mascara. If you use fake lashes, cut them down just a bit so that they only go from the middle out. The best glue is medical adhesive glue. I use this look on some of my models and they look amazing! Don't wear a necklace but do wear some dangleing earrings that are mixed metals. Then wear one big amber colored stone ring. Have fun at you Spring Fling sweetie!

Gorgeous dress. I would recommend sterling silver jewelry with rhinestones to match with the rhinestone accent on the dress. Considering it's a spring, I would go light on the make-up. Preferably use nuetral earth tones to compliment your skin color and the color of the dress.

i am only going to say this as a suggestion i am also mixed and my sister has the same hair type it is more of a suggestion to grow stronger hair so that your hair shaft doesnt get weak and your hair doesnt break off faster while your growing it. For starters dont use shampoos and conditioners that you can find in a regular drug store...period. Buy from makers like paul mitchell, nexxus....etc. the reason for this is the shampoos and cond. from the drug store have fillers in them like clay or mud which can coat the hairshaft and leave them thick and heavy can cause the hair to break off. also use a shampoo with tea tree oil in it every once in a while will strip off extra dht and will help hair to grow better (not necessarily faster) but when you do use the shampoo make sure you use a really good conditioner because the shampoo strips everything off. make sure you get your ends clipped every six weeks i know it seems like your going backwards but it helps. have you ever had a friend who cut all their hair off and it seemed like only yesterday because all their hair has grown back?? its because they were starting with healthy strands...keep those split ends down and....i cant stress enough have a great cond. to tell you the truth as long as you have a great cond. all of the other things (like hot oils, deep cond.) you can do as maint. once a month. hope this helps

I don't know about you...but i've seen people of all races with their hair in all different styles, up or down. I know some people wear their hair up because it gets messy if it doesn't. Hair disaster! i colored my hair and highlighted it and its a mess. What can I do now?

My natural hair color is black. I first put L'Oreal Preference color all over my hair. I applied the shade Gold Brown (the one which is for dark hair only) it looked good.Then on the same day i applied L'Oreal Frost and Design Highlighting(Caramel color) and did highlights. Did you use bleach or peroxide? Did you strip the color form your hair? If not you can just buy black and go back to your normal color with no problem. Or if you just wait a little while it will probably kind of fade away and then you can see what you can do from there. It may not be so bad. But if you have the money and the time, GO TO A SALON! i had long hair and got it razored because I wanted it to be thin and hang loosely. but all of the different ends frayed and it looked like i had dead hair. a stylist will 'thin' your hair for you, i've heard of it being done via backwards layers (shorter under, longer on top).

Also take into consideration if it's a hairstyle you will have to "do" every morning, or if you can just brush it and it will look nice. Personality:

My granddaughter has black hair, white skin, and green eyes. She is beautiful, but for someone who is naturally blond, it might be to harsh. I would advise you to try on wigs to get the full effect. The possibility of being disappointed and having to damage your hair to change it or a long process of growing it out.

I'd have to go with no. Most natural blondes have complexions that are just too light for black hair. I think if you did it you would end up looking gothic. If that's the look you're going for, w/e, but if it's not I wouldn't do it. You have to consider too that black hair isn't just a color you "try on". It's a commitment. When done with a permanent dye it is the single most difficult color to remove from hair, as any haircolorist will tell you. Don't do it.

If you look at Africa you can find several different races of blacks some that resemble Asians with epicanthic eye folds. Or if you look at someone like Kobe Bryant he shares a lot of features with Europeans. Or even someone like Mick Jagger more closely resembles a congoid in facial structure than some South or West Africans. They should broaden the race definitions on tests and applications. You can count like 10 or more races based on physical apperance alone before you even start considering mixed races like some Arabs with kinky hair, Tibetians(Asian/Native Aussie), Filipinos, Puerto Ricans, American Blacks, etc. Some asians may be closer genetically to some South Africans than some American Blacks which is funny because a black dude rooting for Nelson Mandela and Korean Dude could be closer to him genetically.

The Australian Aboriginals were thought to have migrated from Africa many thousands of years ago when the land bridge was still there before the Ice Age ended and the rising water caused by the melting ice cut them off. Hey Samara,

It is best when you sunbathe, since the long exposure to heat is what bleaches the hair. Only problem is, it is acidic and it can damage the hair and the scalp. It happened to me. I had to use dandruf shampoo and extra conditioner to make my hair back to normal. Also, the hair becomes really sticky.

Personally, I don't think matt hair 'oily' is that big a deal, it probably looks ok. But if you like the highlights, have you tried henna or bluelights looks cool on dark hair.

I think that most guys really do appreciate an intelligent girl, though they don't like to admit it. Having a dumb girl as a girlfriend may be exciting (as in the girl will most likely not have an opinion about anything), but that will wear off real quick. Only thing I'd suggest is tone down the more intimidating things, it's fine to oppose the war, or the fur trade but don't declare your hatred for peanuts with fiery vengeance :-) It's fun to argue in my experience, you get a feeling for a person ,what matters to them, and it's rather sexy to see them get passionate about something.
