How do I get my hair shiny?

I dye my hair black, but its kinda dried out from being dyed so much. Is there anything I can do to make my hair soft and shiny? Like how Asian girls hair is...its gorgeous!

How do I get my hair shiny?

well, u see, the reason why asian girls like me have shiny hair is because the hair is purely straight. i have permed my hair when i was little though, and it seems less shiny.

however, if u want shiny hair, use a good conditioner that treats dry and frizzled hair. after u shower, try not to blow-dry your hair too much, or the hair will lose water. u can spray it so that the hair stays shiny together.

do not use tight hair bands or tight clips on your hair. it can damage it and give some frayed strands. do not twist it too much either or use iron curlers, as they give extreme heat that can damage hair as well.

Add a little vinegar to your conditioner to get all of the bulid up off next time you shampoo.. And then when you rinse use ICE COLD water. It will shine.

Using a Clear color rinse will help your hair to shine. Try a demi-color(Color Charm by Wella) or a Jazzin brand.

Boil tea leaves in water. Pour the tea water on your hair after you washed it. Take care, pour only after it has cooled down ;)

Try a clear glaze to coat your hair strands. I know Clairol makes a clear one, you could probably find it in drugstores.

You could also use shine products- Apply shine serum to your hair when it's wet (the best time to apply product, because hair get frizzy as it dries because the moisture is sucked out into the air), or a shine spray.

If your hair is really dry, do a deep conditioning mask about once a week or every couple of weeks. If you are really ambitious, try a hot oil mask! The brand Vo5 makes a classic one.

And remember, always condition your hair every time you shower. It fills in rough patches and porous areas of your hair strands, making them stronger and protecting it against breakage and damage. Since your hair seems dry, try a leave-in conditioner as well. Apply it mid-hair shaft to the tips when your hair is wet.

In general, avoid applying hair product to your roots because it'll only make them look greasy! And I hate to say this, but the only real way to get rid of split ends is to cut them off. Do it before the breakage travels all the way up to your crown.

Good luck! (:
