so the other day i dyed my hair a honey gold color its somewhat close to blonde. Now im black and asian but i appear mostly asian im the girl in the pink on the pic. anyway now to others i appear to look white or whatever thier saying. My parents are saying that im trying to be like my bestfriend the beautiful white girl on the picture with me people are saying i wish i was white because i already acted white now im a blonde my ethinic friends arent even talking to me anymore they say i belong with my white friends i dont get it should i just go back to my black hair because what there saying is really hurting my feelings because im not trying to be anyone else im me Alexus W why don't they get that i was just ready for a change of hair color thats it my white friends have nothing to do with it!! so you guys should i just dy my hair Back? What to do?

Everyone's entitled to play with their hair colour. For what it's worth, I get funny looks because I wear nail varnish on one finger. People think men should not wear nail varnish - especially when they are middle aged like me. However, if folk ask why, I'm happy to tell them it is to remind me there is hope in every situation after my baby son, who was blind, gained his sight by the age of three because we stimulated his eyes with light and colour (the varnished nail was a left / right clue).

At least they are talking to you. Be yourself and in time others will accept you, especially if they love you.

Listen, girl, coming from someone who grew up so similarly, people will ALWAYS LABEL YOU, especially when you're already different!!

They want to put you in a box, and have you only act that way! They want to ostracize you, but pay you attention all at the same time! Honey, it's mostly out of fascination because they themselves could never do it!

Think back to anytime you were ever angry with someone, but you paid them attention, regardless. It's because love/hate is such a fine line in between, but we don't tend to realize it is out of jealousy until later on...or maybe never!

Do you! Because even if you do decide to contrive to what they want...they still will not be satisfied with you!
