I'm married to a korean man, and I'm white. of cource he says I'm perfect just how I am ( I'm pretty short, pale skinned w/ yellow undertones, dark hair and eyes, and pretty thin), but I want to know what korean born men really like. do u guys like blondes? tan-skin? pale-skin? black hair? brown hair? should I lose weight you think?

For me she is the most beautiful woman in the world. She is so harsh on herself about her weight. I don't see anything wrong with her weight. I love her voluptous full figured, her pretty face and her kind heart. No matter how many times I've told her how beautiful she is. She won't listen to me. So I know how your husband feels...frustrated, because his wife doesn't believe him. He loves you just the way you are. You need to believe what he's telling you

Asian guys are not all the same, and they all have different preferences. You shouldn't worry too much about loosing weight or changing your appearance. Your husband already told you that he likes you the way you are.

Black men like bigger, curvier bodies, so when dating interracially, they tend to go for white women. Not being Korean, I will generalise this to Asian men:

First and foremost, there are people interested in their own ethnic group, other who like other ethnic groups and finally the last category who don't care at all as long as they can get laid.

It is a socio-cultural matter. It simply means that your orientation and preferences are based upon your family background, your neighbourhood, your childhood and the customs you respect (even if that includes a pumpkin's sacrifice in late October).

I grew up in a western country, made my up bringing experiences there and ended up with a double sens of self...

I am not psychotic; Although I belong to this country, I'm different as my parents were coming from elsewhere...

"Different" is the key word here...

This very difference draught me towards dating mostly Caucasian girls (which happened to be very difficult as we, asian guys, aren't quite the ladies' favourites).

But still, it is all about exoticism for me... "Exogene" is the word defining "dating outside your socio-cultural and ethnic group".

Why do exogene caucasian females tend to be attracted to African or Latin typed guys?

Simply because of exoticism.

To resume: exogene Asian guys would like to (or in my case, try to) mate with their complete opposite.

We are talking about a very basic, animal-ish response here, as I 've excluded the communication factor...

Your husband and yourself have built interactions based on common conversation and mutual understating and interests, this is call a RELATIONSHIP, which eventually led you to marriage. I'll have a wild guess and say that if he married you, then he surely loves you.

Add some fun and games (read spices) to your marriage by changing your appearance regularly in order for him to discover again and again why he loves you so much.

You'll see in the end that regardless to your hair color, size, tan or weight, he married a -dare I say delightfull- person, not only for your look but simply for the person you are to him.

I know asian women can be very thin naturally. But don't worry, he chose you because he loves you.

My wife is also white and she has the same insecurities. She knows she can't compete with Asian women because they are a completely different race. She sees that Asian women are so skinny and beautiful, she feels insecure at times. But I told her that I love her for her.
