there are some in high fashion, but we don't really see them. i think there's not many is because they might lack height and many of them tend to concentrate on other careers. but i do agree that they're gorgeous

I think you see alot of tall american models in the US. Not so much short ones.

Most asians are short. I am 5'1" so I know its a bummer.

Love,I agree 100%.I think the girl in croutching tiger hidden dragon, lisa ling,the girl in kill bill are as hot as any other chics on screen.The reason that you don't see many asian models or movie stars in the U.S. where the media makes up all the worlds standards is because,1/4 of the worlds population is in China.It is next to impossible for men to get out of tha country much less women where,in China women have far lesser rights than men there.Look at basketball player Yao Ming he has to donate so much of every dollar he makes back to the Chinese government and,he has to go home whenever they should so call on him.This is all stipulated in his contract and his mom and dad both live in China and were olympic basketball stars and only get temporary visa's to see their son play.If he was to defect no telling what would happen to them.His mom and dad are both really tall and their marriage was arranged by the government to produce the 7ft 6in Yao.Basketball was a for sure thing for him even though he is no Tim Duncan or Shaq he's an elite player.Models are few and far.Hard to predict a womans future especially if their parents before them were not actors,models or athletes.The chinese arrange children of upper-class by fixing their parents marriages then,they spend the next 15-18 years preparing them for what they are to become.

Outside of China in Thailand,Vietnam,Cambodia,and Burma girls have no rights and a large percentage of them are sold into brothels as sex slaves.Others are put to work in factories ,rice fields,and on farms.You would not believe the statistics in asian countries that young girls are sent to work instead of school to sewing factories to sew designer jeans,or making reebok,nike,and converse.In India which has some of the most beautiful women in the world it's the same case.They have another 1/4 of the worlds population and there is not enough money for a beautiful girl from middle class or lower class to go to school and pursue any such career and if there are scouts over there to seek out these girls the majority of them are corrupt and make easy and quicker money selling them in the skintrade to brothels.

Its sad really because, you know with more than 1/2 the worlds population in asia there should be way more "china dolls" in the modeling industry.You also have to realize that culture plays a major role in an asian girls up-bringing.The majority of their marriages are arranged and,they are married by the ageof 16 or younger.

The ones that do make it over here the, majority are from good families where their dad's are doctors and they send their daughters to good schools to seek out a profession that provides a service that is needed where success is inevitable.They don't take chances putting their time into a profession where there is a 99% failure rate.

Finally,you have the american demand.White males are the dominate race wih the bulk of the U.S.s money and decision making abilities in the consumer trade and, they want skinny white chics with fake boobs,a round butt,and, bleach blonde hair.How many asian's are there in the playboy mansion?Or on the Dallas cheerleading squad?It seems to me american's want fake barbi dolls instead of true natural timeless beauty.

It has'nt been until the last 20 years that black women have cracked the modeling industry and they are are few and far between.It' sad really.I think asian girls are 99.9% beautiful also!GREAT QUESTION!
