Best highlight colour for rock-asian-girl???

i hv straight dark brown hair. my skin colour is med. i just want to highlight a part of my hair like just a group of hair at the right side.and i don't want ordinary highlight colour. i'm thinking red @ blue..... suggestions?

I reckon bright wine red, blue wont really show up if your hairs dark brown unless you bleach the sections then highlight but its SOOO bad for your hair, so i dont think you should get blue

anddd red highlights look pretty awesome on asian girls! better than blue from my opinion and if you're sorta considering gold, dont. it looks so cheap n' whore-ish ; )

nuts to red. blue is a ***** to get. i'm sure you've got REALLY dark hair. so, when you bleach it, it will turn orange/yellow. if you put blue on that, you get green. if you bleach it too much to get the pigment out, you'll wreck your hair.

so do purple! red is soooooo 2002.

definitely red. i also have dark brown asian hair and i used a red permanent dye by l'oreal (bought it from sally's) that is made specifically for dark hair and it turned out really nice. and the good part is that when it fades, it fades into a pretty cherry color, not orange.
