I am Latina/White/Asian/Black/Native American

First off, I think it would be good if I told you my hair care regime so you can get a feel of what I do now...

-multivitamin

-8-10 cups of water daily

-exercise 3-5x weekly

-pretty healthy diet

-massage scalp daily

-shampoo weekly

-condition daily

-deep conditioner weekly

-protein treatment 2x a month

Okay, second of all is my hair type. I have tight, frizzy, almost afro curls in around the crown of my hair and in the underneath layers. The rest of my hair is in medium-tight curls and waves. It is pretty soft, and is shiny, too.

I just want to know how I can grow my hair faster (if you're just going to post, "it's impossible to grow hair faster or "hair grows about 1/2 inch a month" don't post at all).

I've heard camellia oil works really well, and have also heard about kelp tablets and HairTopia vitamins, but what really works?

i am only going to say this as a suggestion i am also mixed and my sister has the same hair type it is more of a suggestion to grow stronger hair so that your hair shaft doesnt get weak and your hair doesnt break off faster while your growing it. For starters dont use shampoos and conditioners that you can find in a regular drug store...period. Buy from makers like paul mitchell, nexxus....etc. the reason for this is the shampoos and cond. from the drug store have fillers in them like clay or mud which can coat the hairshaft and leave them thick and heavy can cause the hair to break off. also use a shampoo with tea tree oil in it every once in a while will strip off extra dht and will help hair to grow better (not necessarily faster) but when you do use the shampoo make sure you use a really good conditioner because the shampoo strips everything off. make sure you get your ends clipped every six weeks i know it seems like your going backwards but it helps. have you ever had a friend who cut all their hair off and it seemed like only yesterday because all their hair has grown back?? its because they were starting with healthy strands...keep those split ends down and....i cant stress enough have a great cond. to tell you the truth as long as you have a great cond. all of the other things (like hot oils, deep cond.) you can do as maint. once a month. hope this helps

Personally, I massage coconut oil onto my hair before I wash it. Then I shampoo and condition it. Use this method for a prolonged period of time and you'll see good results. Its very healthy for your hair!.. well, it is for mine because I have long, black, and silky hair. Hope I helped.

Yes it is possible. You can try various pills for this purpose along with fish oil, kelp, or vitamin B tablets. I've tried HairTopia and it does work very well. Another option is to straighten your hair because hair is longer when straight. Remember that anything you have to rub on to your hair will not work.

wow! you're so mixed (great thing :) )and pretty (based on your pic)! i think you seem to take very great care of your hair already with the massages and cleaning and conditioning. i personally think that's the best way to keep your hair growing and going. you might want to try Vitamin E and Biotin pills.

I am not asian myself. I am mostly Italian, and I look it. I have green eyes, dark eye lashes, dark brown thick wavy hair, major hour glass shape, healthy weight (not extreamly skinny skinny, but i'm not chunky at all). it's very rare for caucasian women to find asian men attractive usually because it's the way they're raised. Most caucasian women are just used to being attracted to the caucasian male features and anything different is new to them. So starting out most women probably wouldn't find them attractive at first. Don't get too hung up on the fact that he's asian. You know that's your preference, so that narrows things down a little. Just find and asian guy that you get along with and talk to him like you would any other guy.

Hispanic/Latino- Im not a lesbian but i would go for latinas because not all of them have babies at a a young age a lot one to be doctors teachers something their parents would have wanted for themselves. You make it pretty hard for a black girl to answer this question in a friendly way. They way you worded it makes it seem more racist than just your preference. I'm sure you aren't a racist, but have just had bad experiences wih black girls. Let me set the record straight. Not ALL black girls have bad attitudes, and many (like myself) don't have one at all until someone says or does something completely out of line. There are MANY black female role models, it's just that the media doesn't give them so much attention because they are not young and don't wear booty shorts: Oprah and Maya Angelou, for instance. Don't judge an entire race of people by just a few examples you have seen on television. You wouldn't want people to do the same to you. I don't know if it's true or not However I can tell you one thing; if you have thick hair with volume, like many blacks or Asians, it's not easy to tie your hair and to look perfect every time. It's so much easier if you have soft and thinner hair. Also if you have hair that lacks volume, you probably tie it in the back when you have a bad hair day because people won't notice it.

I guess cause our hair is thinner and more delicate and damages quicker.

Hair blowing in the wind gets damaged much quicker than hair tied back.

Our hair also shows when it's oily or dirty quicker, because it's lighter.

It is considered a very "Chic" look to have your hair totally off your face in a pony tail, bun, etc. The only reason I know that is from watching "America's Next Top Model" LOL It is a "Couture" Look :) Tyra Banks is black and wears hers that way.... I don't know about you...but i've seen people of all races with their hair in all different styles, up or down. I know some people wear their hair up because it gets messy if it doesn't. For example, I have super thin hair. It looks great in the morning after a washing..but by the late afternoon it can sometimes look awful.

You can find ceramic brushes anywhere now! Even WalMart has them! They don't have to have a wooden handle. or plastic, as long as the barrel is ceramic, you are getting the benefits! My natural hair color is black. I first put L'Oreal Preference color all over my hair. I applied the shade Gold Brown (the one which is for dark hair only) it looked good.Then on the same day i applied L'Oreal Frost and Design Highlighting(Caramel color) and did highlights. Its a disaster.those highlighted strands are yellowish gold with a reddish tinge.Its looking very wierd and not suiting me at all(I am an asian).I dont know what i can do? I need to fix it somehow.Please help me with all the options available. I am also concerned with the health of my hair , but i guess its too late for that but i cant step out of my house without fixing this. Also the highlights are also very bold and all over ... so its a lot of hair which has turned into a wierd color.Thanks in advance for the help.

Did you use bleach or peroxide? Did you strip the color form your hair? If not you can just buy black and go back to your normal color with no problem. Or if you just wait a little while it will probably kind of fade away and then you can see what you can do from there. It may not be so bad. But if you have the money and the time, GO TO A SALON! They can fix it for sure! Good luck!

Well hun the volume of peroxide in those kits are not very high and you may not have processed them long enough either go to a salon or re highlight the highlights again you can do this but be careful and watch it you can fry your hair if your nor careful
